Our wonderful family and amazing Border Collie dogs and puppies are lovingly bred in the SouthWest area of Virginia, serving Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and the Eastern US coast. We are nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and resembling the Scottish Highlands, George and Lynn Smith raise their beautiful Border Collie dogs and puppies. Our small ranch is home where we have bred and loved Border Collies for 20 years.
Our adult breeding dogs have had their hips checked OFA, they get their shots including lyme disease prevention. They exercise daily running with the 4 wheeler and love playing ball! When they come inside they love to play with toys and cuddle. They also love jogging in the park. When we have a planned pregnancy, we give them free range chicken eggs and deer meat. At birth, we disinfect the kennel, cut the cord of each pup and give pressure to make sure it is breathing well and beginning to suck well. Our pups are handled daily, weeks 3- 8 are the most important socialization weeks of a puppy's life. Our puppies learn come, go potty, go poop, and sit before they go home. They are vet checked, receive 1st shot at 6 weeks and 2nd shot, including lyme disease at 8 weeks. They also receive routine wormer every 2 weeks before they go to their forever homes at 9 weeks.
